For more than 35 years, the Cleveland Institute of Art’s annual Spring Design Show has been an important event and rite of passage for students in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, and Transportation Design. It’s a celebration of hard work and an opportunity for students to share what they’ve been up to.
The Spring Design Show represents the best work created by CIA’s talented students. While this website acts as the show’s visual catalog and index, the in-person exhibition is graciously hosted by .the Reinberger Gallery at CIA. At the public opening — and through the show’s open hours (details below) — you will have the opportunity to meet the students, view their work, gain insight into their projects, and connect through their ideas and dynamic work. While the primary purpose of the show is to help students connect with employment opportunities, it is also important for students to learn from others in the design community. Therefore, we ask that you take time to observe the work, connect with students, and thoughtfully share your insights. Please encourage others to do the same.
Thank you for supporting the present and future of design at Cleveland Institute of Art. You play an integral role in shaping our collective vision and defining design as a dynamic process of making and thinking — not just a means to an end but an experience to deeply engage with the world.
